Meet culprits, victims, and bystanders alike as a village in turmoil comes to life. Witches?! In Salem !?delivers a delicious take on pre-American history in the style of Mel Brooks meets Monty Python. A darkly comedic, yet (mostly) historically accurate take on the Salem Witch Trials and all the (mostly) historically accurate horrors which may occur when injustice is a day-to-day occurrence. SPRING PLAY:
The Adventures of BullShot Crummond
Auditions: April (cast size 10-20)
Set Construction: April
Performances: April 30, May 1
A parody of low-budget 30s spy movies typifies British heroism at its dumbest. A super villains Otto and Lenya Von Brunno (with an evil assistant) concoct a dastardly plot that can destroy the world. Our hero, Bullshot and “his girl Friday,” are called to the rescue. The duo are fighting off henchmen disguise, whilst pursuing the nefarious pair in increasingly perilous (and romantic?) scenarios … will justice prevail, or is all lost??  Slap-stick humor and ridiculousness abound.
